Adding new buoys or stations (see below for ObsDB procedure):

1. Have user fill in metadata form and submit to mailto:[email protected]

   • Form is at > GLOS Metadata Form
   • Help is on GeoNetwork at > GeoNetwork Help

2. LTI adds to obs database, GLBuoys, any needed thredds effort, folder assistance for ftp, etc.

   If needed in HABs Portal, create HABs GitHub ticket for RPS to add.

3. Once the obs database updates are complete (where a link and parameters are complete), Metadata Curator adds to GeoNetwork and provides links to Data Portal.

   (NOTE: There may be special use cases where we need to have RPS create collections and just adding to GN is not a solution. If that is the case, a separate github ticket should be created, LOE determined, etc.)

4. LTI tests and ensures data is appearing. There is typically a time lag between time of adding to GN and appearance in Portal. If station does not appear within a couple of hours, create a github ticket.
