Importing data - global-121/121-platform GitHub Wiki

This page contains a description of how to use the import data functionality of the 121 Portal.

Import People Affected

With the Import People Affected functionality you can import a "pre-targeted" list of People Affected whom you want to invite for registration via the 121 Platform. When selecting the Import People Affected function, you can download a template of the Comma Separated Values (CSV) file you need to create with your data. The data to import contains at least the phone number of each Person Affected and the preferred language, as to be able to send them a notification.

Depending on the program configuration the CSV file to import can also contain the payment amount multiplier, the maximum number of payments and custom attributes. Open the downloaded template to see which columns can be filled.

Example use case: the government or a partner organization delivers a list of People Affected that should be included or considered for the program. You want to use the 121 Platform to send these people an invite notification and/or keep track in the 121 Platform who of the people on the list have registered (already) and who have not.

Notes for data to import:

  • Phone number: should be with country code, + sign is optional.
  • Preferred language
  • Payment amount multiplier: optional, but if supplied should be a positive whole number.
  • Maximum payments: optional, but if supplied should be a positive whole number.
  • Custom attributes: if a custom attributes is of 'yes/no' type, then the import will accept yes, 1 and true as values for yes and no, 0 and false as values for no. These values are case-insensitive. If no value is supplied, the value defaults to no.

Import Registrations

This feature can be used to directly import People Affected as registrations in the 121 portal with status 'registered'.

For now this feature is mostly used for developing/testing/demo'ing purposes and not in actual programs. This documentation should be further expanded once that situation changes.

Import reconciliation data from FSP

If the FSP is not integrated via API, but via export/import, then - if configured - reconciliation data from the FSP (with data on transaction statuses) can be imported back into the 121-portal.
