  • Add 1 µl of plasmid (~100 ng/µl) to cells. Keep on ice for 30 minutes.
  • Heat shock at 42°C water bath for 60 seconds, then ice for 2 more minutes.
  • Add 900 µl SOC. Shake at 37°C for 1 hour.
  • Plate 200 µl, alternatively plate all by spinning down and resuspending in ~200 µl of dregs.
