Analyze intact mass on Compass - glasgowlab/home GitHub Wiki
- in compass, on your TIC/BPC, right click and drag to select small range
- This will display in spectrum view. Look for an envelope. Confirm that noise is low-ish
- right click copy to compound spectra
- you can use charge state rule (on top toolbar) to check that you're looking at the right protein (approximate mass)
- Deconvolute->parameters
- -max entropy mode
- -change masses to narrow range around your protein (+-1kD)
- -Instrument resolving power: 50,000
- -resolution: High
- -Apply, OK
- Deconvolute->Mass spectra
- Wait for green bar
- expand the compound entry to reveal deconvoluted entry below
- zoom out of compound spectra to see intact mass envelope
- celebrate a job well done
