Western lowland gorillas are large, social apes. They live in family groups in tropical African swamps and forests. Wild gorillas are generally peaceful and don't attack players until provoked.

Spawning

Without additional mods installed, Western lowland gorillas will spawn in jungle, swamp, savanna, forest and extreme hills biomes, including hills and mutated variants. They spawn in groups of 2-6.

With other biome mods installed, gorillas will, by default, spawn in similar biomes.

Care

Tamed gorillas can use the Brush, Ball, Tire Swing, Scratching Post and Enrichment Ball enrichments.

Gorillas eat a Herbivore-type diet.

Variants

Western lowland gorillas have six total variants: three male, three female. Male gorillas are sometimes called "silverbacks" because they have a gray or white back and rump. Male gorillas are also slightly larger than females.
