Toucans are tropical birds native to South America. Wild toucans may be preyed on by jaguars. In version 2.1, toucans received a remodel and several more species variants.

Toucans are tamed with Bird Kibble and bred with Bird Vials.

Spawning
Without additional mods installed, toucans will spawn in desert, savanna, jungle and forest biomes, including hills and mutated variants. Toucans will spawn in a group of at least 4 and at most 6.
With other biome mods installed, toucans will, by default, spawn in similar wooded and scrub biomes.
Care
Tamed toucans can use the Brush, Ball, Tire Swing and Bird Perch enrichments.
As of version 2.1, toucans eat a Herbivore-type diet. In earlier versions, they eat a Parrot-type diet.
Toucans can fly, so their enclosures should be covered in glass or grates.
Variants
As of version 2.1, toucans have 7 species variants.
- Variant 0 is the toco toucan. It is black, with a white chest and throat, and a mostly orange beak.
- Variant 1 is the keel-billed toucan. It is black, with a yellow-green chest, and a green, orange and red beak.
- Variant 2 is the choco toucan. It is black with a golden yellow chest, and yellow and purple beak.
- Variant 3 is the channel-billed toucan. It is black with a yellow chest, white face and blue ring around its black beak.
- Variant 4 is the mountain toucan. It is the most distinct species, and it is brown with a blue chest, white face and yellow tail. It is also smaller than the other species variants.
- Variant 5 is the white-throated toucan. It is similar to the channel-billed toucan, but has a lighter chest and a yellow stripe down the top of its beak.
- Variant 6 is the yellow-throated toucan. Similar to the choco toucan, it is black with a yellow and black striped beak, but it has a brighter throat.
