Meerkats are small members of the mongoose family. In ZAWA, they spawn in dry and grassy biomes. Wild meerkats will not attack players. No ZAWA mob currently preys on meerkats.

Summary

Meerkats are tamed with Frog Kibble and bred with Frog Vials.

Meerkats are considered hasty.

Spawning

Without additional mods installed, meerkats will spawn in savanna, mesa and desert biomes, including hills and mutated variants. They will spawn in a group of at least 3 and at most 5.

With other biome mods installed, meerkats will, by default, spawn in similar dry, grassy biomes.

Care

Tamed meerkats can use the Brush, Ball, Tire Swing and Scratching Post enrichments.

Meerkats eat a Insectivore-type diet.

Variants

Meerkats have four color variants: a pale tan, a golden tan, a warm gray and a darker brown.
