The Koala is a small, bear-like marsupial native to Australian eucalyptus forests. Wild koalas may be attacked by Tasmanian devils. In version 2.0, koalas received a remodel.

Summary

Koalas are tamed with Monkey Kibble and bred with Monkey Vials.

Spawning

Without additional mods installed, koalas will spawn in forest, savanna, swamp and jungle biomes, including hills and mutated variants. Koalas are solitary and spawn alone.

With other biome mods installed, koalas, by default, spawn in similar wooded biomes.

Care

Tamed koalas can use the Brush, Ball, Tire Swing and Scratching Post enrichments.

Koalas eat a Eucalyptus specialist diet. They are the only animal in the mod to use this diet type, and can be difficult to care for because of their specific food needs. Players who want to keep koalas may want to farm eucalyptus to keep their koalas fed.
