Herbivore is the general plant-eating diet type. There are several other different herbivore types, but they tend to be a little more specific.

Generalist herbivore animals can eat lots of different plant foods, like fruit, grain and vegetables.

Without additional mods, herbivore animals can eat wheat, hay blocks, potatoes, carrots, beets, leaf blocks, pumpkins, and melon. They can also eat bamboo, and graze on grass blocks. Herbivore animals can also eat tree saplings, and are a great way to get rid of unwanted forest clearing clutter.

The current herbivores in-game are:

• African elephant
• Asian elephant
• Black spider monkey
• Nile hippo
• Pygmy hippopotamus
• Western lowland gorilla
