The Harpy Eagle is a large, predatory bird native to the Amazon rainforest in South America. Harpy eagles, as of version 2.1, will attack players if provoked. Wild harpy eagles will prey on several other animals: three-toed sloths, spider monkeys, lion tamarins, brown rats, as well as vanilla rabbits and chickens.

Spawning

Without additional mods installed, harpy eagles will spawn in jungle biomes, including hills and mutated variants. They will spawn in groups of 2-4.

With other biome mods installed, harpy eagles, by default, spawn in other jungle biomes.

Care

Harpy eagles can use the Brush, Ball, and Tire Swing enrichments.

Harpy eagles eat a Small carnivore-type diet.

Because harpy eagles can fly, their enclosures should be covered with glass or grates.
