Grizzly bears or brown bears are the second largest species of bear in the world, after polar bears. Grizzly bears are native to North America. Wild grizzlies are protective, and will attack players who get too close to them, but they will not actively seek out and attack players. They deal heavy damage and can kill a player in two to three hits on higher difficulties.

Grizzly bears also prey on other mobs. Wild grizzlies will attack moose, bison, brown rats and salmon. They will also attack all vanilla mobs, including villagers.

Summary

Grizzly bears are tamed with Bear Kibble and bred with Bear Vials.

Grizzlies are considered inactive.

Grizzly bears also have a plush counterpart.

Spawning

Without additional mods installed, grizzly bears will spawn in almost all biomes. Grizzly bears can either spawn alone, or in a small group of 2-3.

With other biome mods installed, grizzly will, by default, spawn in other pre-set biomes.

Care

Tamed grizzly bears can use the Brush, Zebra Pinata, Ball, Tire Swing and Scratching Post enrichments.

Grizzlies eat an Omnivore-type diet.
