Cichlids are several species of tropical and semi-tropical fish. They cannot be tamed, but they do have data book information.

Cichlids can spawn in almost all water. They spawn in schools of 2-5.

Cichlids may be eaten by wild gharials.

Unlike other fish, cichlids have several species variants.

• Variant 0 is the African maingano cichlid. Maingano cichlids are blue-black with light horizontal stripes.
• Variant 1 is the South American cockatoo cichlid. They are gray with spiky, fringed orange fins.
• Variant 2 is the African mbuna cichlid. They are similar to maingano cichlids, and are blue and black, but they have vertical stripes instead of horizontal.
• Variant 3 is the African red peacock cichlid. Peacock cichlids are blue with a yellow rear and stomach.
• Variant 4 is the African haplochroma cichlid. Haplochroma cichlids are pink, orange and blue with dark stripes.
• Variant 5 is the South American ram cichlid. They are blue with a yellow face and black spots.
• Variant 6 is the African electric red cichlid. They are solid, bright red.
• Variant 7 is the African electric yellow cichlid. They are solid, bright yellow.

Variants 5, 6 and 7 currently do not spawn in version 2.0.

When killed, cichlids can drop Raw Cichlid.
