Requirements

1. An already-running installation of TurkGate.

Backing Up

1. It is highly recommended you (periodically) backup the TurkGate database, especially prior to updating. Within phpMyAdmin, for example, you can perform an export on the TurkGate database. More methods are outlined here: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.1/en/backup-methods.html.
2. Copy and paste your TurkGate directory to a temporary location, so that you can roll back if necessary.

Downloading and Uploading Files

1. Download TurkGate. You can download either the latest ZIP file or TAR ball.
2. Overwrite the already-running files on your server with the newly downloaded files from the ZIP file or TAR ball. DO NOT delete files that are not in the download (e.g., config.php)! These files must remain untouched.

TurkGate is now ready to use.
