firefox certificate - ghdrako/doc_snipets GitHub Wiki
In Firefox, go to Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Certificates -> View Certificates -> Import. Select the file with your certificate. Firefox should ask you under which category it should store the certificate, select "Authorities". Or it will maybe recognize by itself that it's a CA certfifcate and put it under the appropriate category. After you finish the import process, you can check if your imported certificate is visible in the "Authorities" section.
In order to trust a business proxy, you can manually import the signing certificate. Firefox can do that if you change this setting temporarily:
- In a new tab, type or paste
about:config
in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk. - In the search box above the list, type or paste
root
and pause while the list is filtered - Double-click the
security.enterprise_roots.enabled
preference to switch the value fromfalse
totrue
Once Firefox trusts your proxy, I suggest flipping that back to false to keep Firefox isolated from possible fraudulent certificates injected into the Windows certificate store.
