DLP uses information types, also known as infoTypes, to define what is scanned for. These infoTypes are types of data that are sensitive such as name, email address, credit card number, or identification number. An example of how Cloud DLP can assist us is that we can automatically redact such sensitive data, which may be stored in GCP storage repositories.
