Installing Windows

Now we are ready to install so turn off the computer and put in the USB drive. Start the computer and if it doesn't start the setup process then restart the computer and hit F1 on the keyboard, it might start the setup then, if not it will take you to the bios screen. If you aren't in bio's or missed it and go to desktop you can run this script and it will reboot straight to BIOS.

When on your BIOS find your boot manager and choose the USB drive containing the custom Windows ISO. Some bio's will let you boot immediately from a drive when you choose it (if your's doesn't then just make sure you change the priority boot order so the drive with custom ISO is the first one. Confirm, save settings, and reboot).

Now it should be starting the installer. The installation process should be quick and straightforward. Since my auto-attend I made for the NTlite preset doesn't contain a key it, you will get the screen asking for a activation key. If you already had a activated Windows license from your previous install then just choose "I don't have a product key", it will recognize your key.

If you don't have one already activated: You will need to buy a key and enter it. There are plenty of cheap sites out there selling keys like www.G2A.com. I definitely recommend getting Windows 11 Pro, and make sure it's a OEM key. OEM key is the cheapest you can get that will also stay associated with your motherboard so you can do any amount of clean installs without losing the key. I recommend Pro because it gives you the most control over your OS and also gives you very useful features you don't get on Home. I hate Windows 11 stock but I recommend 11 because of all the improvements 11 brings like Auto HDR, DX 12_2 feature set, timer resolution can be controlled (we will get into that later) and alot others. My preset undo's all the biggest problem's with 11 while containing all the improvements. Also with some tweaks and apps we will get into later on you won't even be able to tell the difference between my Windows 11 Ultimate ISO and Windows 10 besides all the improvements (it's pretty much like what Windows 10 should be like right now if Microsoft wasn't trying kill it off). Anyways put in your key and continue.

Just choose your drive and partition (if you forgot to backup your files you should restart and backup anything on the drive you want before continuing then do setup again) then delete the partition you want to install on. Confirm that drive and partition, then continue. From here it should do everything on it's own but at most you might get the privacy choice screen, if you do DENY EVERYTHING. It should autologin but if it doesn't then just type User and leave the password blank and you will log in (unless you changed your username or password with NTlite, then it'd be whatever you changed them to).

It shouldn't ask you for a Microsoft account but if it does DO NOT USE ONE, do a local account. Once you associate a Microsoft account they will spy on you and bloat your OS, you can use your Microsoft account on apps but DO NOT associate your Windows install with it.
