OGBA Case - gbaHD/GBAHD-Shield GitHub Wiki
jotheripper has done an amazing job in designing this cases. You'll find them on PrusaPrinter.org with all the needed extras e.g. switches etc.
- Before you begin check the Setup Guide OGBA site with it's optional steps when using this case!
- This guide only shows the dry-run of putting the case together, since there are videos out there coverying the whole process
- You need to desolder the Powerswitch from the SEA-Board in order to fit it into the case
Start preparing the switches:
- Power-Switch with LED
- Reset-Switch
Screw them into the Case:
Take your assembled Spartan Edge Board with the Shield on top and feed if from the underside at an angle with the SNES Port first:
Carefully push it into place, until the Board is fully seated and the Mini-HDMI and USB-C Connector are in place:
Now solder the Reset-Switch:
Now you can put the flex cables from the Shield-Board into the Hookup-Board and the display ffc connector on the OGBA itself. Seat the OGBA mainboard into its new home - make sure you angle it with the EXP-Port going in first:
Gently push it into place, but be careful with the volume wheel and 3.5mm jack - bend the 3d-printed shell a bit to get in into place
Now we can solder the wires from the power-switch to the Spartan Edge-Board. Make sure you know which wire is for the LED and the switch itself:
At this point you can test your System. You should be able to start it with the power button, and reset the system with the reset-button. Of course you shoud have an image and be able to control the system with a SNES Controller.
When everything works as expected we can close the case.
Start with the Cartridgeflap:
Put the M2-Nuts in the top-part of the Case and but the top on at an angle starting with the frontside:
Put the M2-Nuts in the bottom-part of the Case and but the bottom on at an angle starting with the frontside:
You can add some rubber feet if you want to.
