LAB 19 ‐ Create Announcement Subscription - gautam-amitesh/OCI GitHub Wiki

The Announcements service alerts you of operational events that impact service status or your environment. You can subscribe to announcements to receive them by email, SMS, or any other subscription protocol supported through integration with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Notifications.

  • Navigation

    Announcements > Subscriptions > Create announcement subscription

  1. Give appropriate Name and Description

  2. Always choose root in Compartment selection dropdown to ensure broad visibility which is a common practice

  3. Choose Subscription type

    • All announcements (I choose this one)

    • Selected announcements only

      For each type you need to choose a corresponding value

  4. Choose Time zone and Language in Display preferences

  5. In Notifications topic you can either use existing one or can create new topic. I have already created topic for announcements so I will choose Topic compartment and Topic

  6. Click Create

  7. Once subscription is created you will see this page where details will be shown

  8. To Delete click on Actions and to edit click on Edit
