On the edge of the forest near Nilathbel and Shren Allanar are three large farming communities.

NPCs

Weldinger Family

A group of about 30 humans who live on a traditional farm. Their land is very hilly. They grow beans, squash, root vegetables and greens.

The Weldinger family does not like the Goodsong Clan and believe they charge too much for maintaining the river dock. One of the Weldinger teens has been seeing a member of the Krisrieth family. Both families are familiar with what is happening and look down upon the union.

Krisrieith Family

A group of about 20 forest elves who farm a wide variety of root vegetables, shrub fruits (berries) and herbs. Their homes are built into the side of large trees, harvest plants cover the area. The Krisrieth Family feels the Weldinger family have reclaimed too much of the land for farming and think they should adopt elven techniques for maintaining the land.

Goodsong Clan

A group of 45 halflings who live near the Red Swine river. The make money by growing peppers, cucumbers, squash, beans, eggplant, tomatoes and melons. In addition, they manage a small dock on the river where they receive and send shipments of goods for all the local farms. The Goodsong clan has had to hire mercenaries to handle orc harassment
