History

Rephaite as a mortal was obsessed with the afterlife. Before he ascended he became obsessed with an idea that consuming another’s soul while keeping them alive could slow aging and grant the consumer immortality. Myths about his ascension say he stole the journals of Og, read them and burned them so no other could follow in his footsteps without the assistance of another god.

After he ascended he taught his followers about undeath and how one consume another’s soul making them physically alive but soulfully dead.

His actions brought about the undead, who torment the loss of their soul and prey upon the innocent in an attempt to find their soul.

It is said that Rephaite follows us all our entire lives, waiting to prey upon our souls at the moment of death. Many rituals have been developed to prevent your soul from being trapped by Rephaite upon death.
