Pros vs Cons

• Pro
  • easy screenshare
  • easy audio / video calls
  • no maintainence
  • Supports features like classrooms, study sessions, etc.
  • Emotes 😸
  • Role Management
• Con
  • Not open source
    • No other viable open source options. When open source option available, we would then migrate.
  • Data / Privacy (Discord servers are out of our control)
    • Same as open - source strategy. Would migrate when open source option becomes available.
  • May change policy to be more hostile
    • Would switch away if this happens
  • Every c0d3.com user would have to create 2 accounts (c0d3 and discord)
    • This is a big problem, but may be something we have to deal with
