MTG Studio can process Magic Suitcase collection file. Some cards may not be imported due to various Suitcase incapabilities to card naming convention discrepancies:

Wrong Card Names

Magic Suitcase has several card names not written as they are on a printed copy of a card. MTG Studio is not trying to fix those since

1. we believe cards should be named exactly the way they are printed.

2. because we hope that even not actively officially supported anh more the Magic Suitcase groups at Yahoo! groups will eventually fix their mistakes.

Angefire Crusader - should be Angelfire Crusader

Ravenous Skrige - should be Ravenous Skirge

Magic Suitcase is inconsistent in its usage of the AE (Æ) symbol. Sometimes it appears as Æ, sometimes as AE and even Ae.

MTG Studio choose the approach to display call cards with the Æ symbol using "Ae".

During the Magic Suitcase Import procedure such cards are imported.

Apostrophe

Magic Suitcase is inconsistent in the way it handles the apostrophe sign.

Sometimes it is written as ' and sometimes as ’.

MTG Studio always uses the ' sign.

Cards in Magic Suitcase collection with ’ sign will be imported as '.

Magic Player Rewards cards

Magic Suitcase has a separate set MPR for Magic Player Rewards cards.

Those are not automatically imported by MTG Studio since we believe they are mostly tokens which should belong to the Tokens (TK) edition.

Magic Suitcase has a set (PR) for Promotional cards.

MTG Studio has alsmost all promo cards ever printed.

Since some cards are reprinted in various promo occassions like FNM, MRP, Launch Parties, Japan Super Series, etc. it is very common that one card is reprinted many times for different occassions.

In MTG Studio the full card name is

Magic Suitcase does not support sub sets and such level of details for the full names of a card.

Being that way MTG Studio does NOT import such cards and leaves it upto the user to manually insert those cards in their collection picking from the best possible match.

Oversized Cards 6x9

The 69 set from Magic Suitcase fails to import in MTG Studio since thecard names differ. In Magic Suitcase the card Abeyance is available as Abeyance [Arena] in MTG Studio. You must import those cards manually.

Magic Player Rewards (MPR) Set

Magic Suitcase has a separate set for Magic Player Reward cards. In MTG Studio those cards are available as a subset of Promotional set. You must import those cards manually.
