• 20241020 - Add vZ Header (OPTIONAL) - With the release of V1.0 of the Aquarius⁺ firmware, the system supports hardware that does not have a physical Z80 installed. This is useful if you are unable to acquire a Z80 CPU of the proper speed and footprint, now that Zilog no longer manufactures the chip. Note that this is an OPTIONAL fix for users with hardware Z80s installed. Click here for repair instructions.
• 20240318 - UPDATEGH & Web Cert - In late February 2024, GitHub changed it's SSL certificate (without warning) to securely access content, like the UPDATEGH function that the esp:settings tool performs. As a result, users will have to manually download V0.26 or later to the SD card, and perform an UPDATE within esp:settings. Click here for repair instructions.
• 20231005 - SD Card Write Protect - A defect has been found in some of the first batch of the Aquarius⁺ units that were shipped in September and October 2023, units numbered AA-01-SPH through AA-36-SPH. The problem shows up as an inability to SAVE data to the SD card. Depending on the version of the OS you're running, this will display as either an Unknown Error or a Write Protect Error after trying to SAVE a file or data. Click here for repair instructions.
• 20230721 - SMT Audio Jacks - A quality issue with the SMT (surface mount) audio jacks used in Aquarius⁺ prototype units numbered PR-03-SPH through PR-07-SPH has been found that compromises the adhesion of the Cassette In, Cassette Out, Printer, and Audio Out jacks.
