The Story Behind Slithin

The name "Slithin" is an homage to the race slitheen from the BBC series Dr. Who.

I started to develop this tool because there are not much tools to solve the usage problems that the remarkable tablet has. The program is free forever because I believe good software can exist without any costs for the users. But feel free to donate cryptocurrencies or on patreon to support my work and make it possible to continue the development of Slithin.

A lot of good things are planned to be implemented.

  • More little tools to make the life of the user easier
  • A marketplace to share your assets (Screen Images, Notebooks, Templates, etc.)
  • Translated user interface to make it more comfortable for you to use Slithin
  • Dark Mode
  • Cloud Connection

Contribution

You can always make issues about problems or feature request. Translating Slithin is also a good option to support. If you like the program feel free to share your experiences.

About the guy making Slithin

I am a German guy born in 1997. I was always interested in using new technologies. I fell in love with coding when I was 11. I have learned coding by watching youtube videos and reading programming books. Exploring source code from open-source applications has helped me a lot. I decided to make all my projects also open-source to help other people to learn coding. I have published a lot of libraries on nuget mostly for my own usage or of learning purposes.

I always was the guy who has helped others with problems in using computers or coding problems. So then I decided to help by making a keynote about personal security using devices and online services.

In september I will start an apprenticeship as Software Developer. I hope you enjoy my work and contribute to make Slithin much better.
