First Jail - fsbruva/thebrig GitHub Wiki
Once you have installed TheBrig, you are now ready to get some jails up and running. The first step is to obtain the necessary FreeBSD userland files for the jail. This is done by visiting the Maintenance --> Tarball Management page.
Click "Query" to obtain the list of available software versions. FreeBSD jails can be equal to or lower versions than the kernel, but cannot be higher versions. TheBrig will automatically check the FreeBSD servers for available software, and will omit incompatible versions. Due to a major difference with source code distribution that started with FreeBSD 9, TheBrig cannot manage the installation of prior versions.
The tarballs needed to install a jail will depend on what architechure your Nas4Free installation is. If you are running x86, then you only need to download the "base." If you are running x64, then you need to download "base" and "lib32." Select the appropriate tarballs, and click "Download."
The tarballs will be downloaded. Go get a cup of tea or coffee.
Once the tarball(s) have completely downloaded, visit the main webgui page for TheBrig
Click on the "+" to add a jail.
Since you only have one jail, it can be numbered whatever you'd like. Once there is more than one jail, the numbers indicate starting precedence.
Define jail as you want, and select the tarball(s) you downloaded previously.
- Start jail with Action button. You can start jail when button is green and stop it , when button is red
You can create, edit, delete jails. Before delete it TheBrig will archive it and archive place into work folder. This archive may be used as binaries.
