A Starling is a passive mob that can be found in forest biomes. It was added in the 1.6.0 Update.

Behavior

Movement

Starlings fly around quickly and randomly and prefer to fly towards trees. They will swim when in water. Being diurnal, they sleep at night.

Breeding

Starlings can be bred with mealworms and sweet berries. They lay 1-6 eggs and each egg has a 70% chance of hatching, making them relatively easy to breed.

Spawn

Starlings will spawn in savannah biomes in groups of 3-5 and a weight of 10.
