Behavior

Movement

Kingfishers fly around randomly, preferring to go towards water. They are fast swimmers. Baby kingfishers will follow a nearby adult. Being diurnal, they sleep at night. They hunt guppies, gouramis, koi and salmon.

Breeding

Kingfishers can be bred with fish. A male and a female must be fed for breeding to occur.

Spawning

Kingfishers spawn in river and swamp biomes. Their default spawn weight is 20, and they spawn in groups of 3-5. They can lay up to 6 eggs, and each egg has a default hatch chance of 30%.
