An Avocet is a passive mob that lives in wetlands. They were added in the 1.7.0 Ocean Update.
Behavior
Movement
Avocet fly randomly and prefer to fly towards tree tops. They will swim when in contact with water. Being diurnal, they sleep at night.
Breeding
Avocets can be bred with crab pincers. They will lay 1-4 eggs and each egg has a 40% chance to hatch.
Spawning
Avocets spawn in swamps in groups of 3-5.
