A Pygmy Falcon is a tamable neutral mob that spawns in desert biomes. It is the smallest falcon in Africa.

Behavior

Movement

Pygmy falcons fly around randomly, preferring to fly towards tree tops. They will swim when in water. Being diurnal, will sleep at night.

Aggression

Pygmy falcons will attack anything that damages them, including players. They will also attack rabbits, fairywrens and sparrows.

Taming

Pygmy falcons can be tamed with raw chicken, raw rabbit, rotten flesh, or small bird meat. They will follow their owner after being tamed. They will sit when right clicked, and attack anything the owner attacks.

By right-clicking with a stick, a pygmy falcon can be toggled to wander or follow its owner.

Spawning

Pygmy falcons will spawn in dry biomes, such as deserts. They have a spawn weight of 5 and spawn in groups of 1-2.

Breeding

Pygmy falcons can be bred with raw chicken, raw rabbit, rotten flesh, or small bird meat. They lay 1-4 eggs, and each egg has a 30% chance of hatching.
