Here is an overview of all the entities that can be found within the dark caverns.

Luminite golem

Biome: Rocky caverns
Type: Hostile
Size: Large
Special properties: None

Luminite golems are stronger versions of iron golems, forged from the luminite found inside of the biome. They aren't easy to kill, and until you're really kitted out you should probably just stay out of their way. When killed, they can drop luminite dust, luminite ore and carfstone.

Luminite fox

Biome: Rocky caverns Type: Passive
Size: Small
Special properties: None

Luminite foxes are quite similar to regular foxes, except they don't like stealing and carrying stuff around and they are quite a bit stronger as well. When killed they'll drop similar items to luminite golems but not as much due to them being quite a bit smaller.

Camorock

Biome: Rocky caverns
Type: Passive Size: Small
Special properties: Can hide on the carfstone surface

Scorchling

Biome: Molten Depths
Type: Hostile
Size: Very Small
Special properties: Fire resistant

The scorchling is one of the many dangerous creatures that roam the molten depths. At first glance it might seem harmless, but don't be mistaken - this creature packs quite the punch! The six-legged monster moves at very high velocities, and when it runs into you the knockback can be lethal. If you manage to kill a scorchling you'll have a low chance of being rewarded with it's tail, and legend has it that this very tail can be used to give platinum armor a very special effect...

Scorchhound

Biome: Molten Depths
Type: Hostile
Size: Medium
Special properties: Fire resistant

The scorchhound is another one of the creatures to be found within the molten depths. This creature is both large and extremely aggressive, and it won't be afraid to use it's size to it's advantage when charging into you. The knockback is not as high as the one dealt by the scorchling, but the scorchhound compensates that with it's sharp horns that deal massive amounts of damage. If you manage to kill a scorchhound you have a chance to get scorched meat, a new type of meat that keeps your belly full for a very long time...

Moltener

Biome: Molten Depths
Type: Passive Size: Small Special properties: Fire resistant

The moltener is a shy passive creature that doesn't do much other than running away when it's attacked. It does however have a thing for gold, and they might drop it on death. They also have the chance to drop firecharges, forged in their huge mouths.

Shroomling

Biome: Glimmershroom forest Type: Neutral Size: Quite large Special properties: None

Shroomlings live happily together with the shroomlings, even though they haven't been around for as long (therefore they aren't as common as the shroomies). They are friendly creatures, but if you attack them they'll seek revenge and try to tear you apart with their sharp teeth. They drop glimmershrooms when killed.

Shroomie

Biome: Glimmershroom forest Type: Passive Size: Quite small
Special properties: Tradedable

The shroomie is one of the oldest living species in the dark caverns. They've been there since the glimmershroom forests initially were formed, and therefore there are a lot of them - especially since there aren't really any big threats in their biome. They can spawn both naturally in the glimmershroom forest as well as in one of their mushroom-like houses, and they'll also trade you some really useful items. Some of the unique items that it'll trade you is shroomstone pieces, which can be used to make shroomstone armor, as well as corrupted pearls, which function like ender pearls but teleport the entity that's closest to the player (if it's inside a 10 block radius) to the place where it lands. Shroomies don't drop anything when killed.
