A TV actor is anyone (including people and credited animals) who has portrayed a character on a TV show. The appearance could be minor, like a cameo appearance; unseen, like the work of a puppeteer; or typically uncredited, like a playback singer. People performing in "non-character" roles such as "game show host" or "news anchor" or "sports announcer" should be typed using TV personality.
