A sports team is two or more athletes working toward an objective in a competitive sport. Sports teams can be composed of professional or amateur athletes and can compete in the same sport for any period of time, even for a single match or game. A coach, trainer, or caddy is not considered an athlete in this context and does not count toward the "two or more" athletes required to make a team.
