The Film Actor type includes people (and credited animals) who have appeared in any film as a character, including portrayals of real people, as in a biopic. The appearance could be minor, like a cameo appearance; unseen, like the work of a puppeteer; or typically uncredited, like a playback singer.

• Voice actors (ex: Cameron Diaz, voice of Princess Fiona in the Shrek movies)

• Body doubles or stunt doubles (e.g.: Rachel Grant, Angelina Jolie body double in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider)

• Appearing as himself/herself (e.g.: Steve Carell and James Franco in Knocked Up)

• Narrators (e.g.: Morgan Freeman, narrator of March of the Penguins)

• Singers who record vocal tracks for an actor or actress in a film (e.g.: Marni Nixon)

• Animals in film (e.g.: Pal, the original Lassie the dog)

• Actors appearing in TV movies (e.g. Meredith Baxter in Down Will Come Baby)

• Directors (e.g.: Steven Spielberg)

• Use type Film director

• TV actors (e.g.: Jerry Seinfeld in Seinfeld)

• Use type TV actor

• Theatrical actors (e.g.: Kristin Chenoweth in the muscial Wicked)

• Use type Theater Actor

• Groups of people (e.g.: The Beatles in Hard Day's Night)

• Type the group as Person or entity appearing in film and list each member of the group as Film Actor
