Employer Identity Criteria

Features for establishing identity relationships

  • name_match: There is a name_match if the employer names or aliases match on both the sources. Sometimes the names may be abbreviated such as IBM vs International Business Machines. Employer names may also vary by including or excluding things like "Inc." or "Incorporaterd" or "Gmbh". Their names can also be changed over time such as Andersen Consulting vs Accenture.

  • employee_match: There is an employee_match if at least one of the employees and their tenures or titles listed in Freebase property /business/employer/employees (Employees and other personnel) match on both the sources.

General guidelines for establishing identity between two Employers

Here are some typical patterns for determining identity of employers:
