##Building (/architecture/building)
A building is a man-made structure designed for shelter or for continuous or periodic occupancy. All buildings are structures and therefore typed "Structure" which imparts other basic properties (see /architecture/structure). If something is not a structure, it can't be typed as a building.
- residential buildings such as houses, condominiums and dormitories (e.g. Monticello)
- agricultural buildings such as barns, wind mills and stables (e.g. Boyd's Windmill)
- commercial buildings such as restaurants, hotels and malls (e.g. The Ivy)
- educational buildings such as schools, libraries and museums (e.g. National Library of Australia)
- government buildings such as police stations, courthouses and prisons (e.g. Bastille)
- industrial buildings such as factories, warehouses and power plants (e.g. Boeing Everett Factory)
- military buildings such as barracks, forts and castles (e.g. Neuschwanstein Castle)
- religious buildings such as churches, monasteries and temples (e.g. St Paul's Cathedral)
- nonbuilding structures such as bridges, tunnels and dams (e.g. Brooklyn Bridge, Channel Tunnel)
- Use the structure type for these.
- building complexes or groups of buildings (e.g. World Financial Center, Marina City)
- Use the building complex type for these.
- anything that is mobile such as circus tents
- small structures such as doghouses
