Proposed Definition:
A tourist attraction is a feature sight, event or place of interest that serves as the center of tourism activities, businesses and tourist visits. It can be of historical, cultural, artistic, scientific, environmental significance or even of novelty value. Examples include monuments, parks, museums, and the like. Usually, these topics are co-typed with Location. Unless it is an event, it should be co-typed with Event or Recurring Event and Location type should be removed.
Things that are Tourist Attraction :

Structures and buildings considered to have architectural, historical, cultural, scientific, artistic, environmental or leisure/entertainment value and significance such as St. Patrick's Cathedral, Stonehenge and Golden Gate Bridge. These are co-typed as Structure. Some may not be single structures but rather complexes such as Angkor Wat, Hadrian's Villa and Monte Carlo Casino.

Museums exhibiting historical, cultural, artistic, scientific or novelty collections in indoor galleries such as Salvador Dali Museum, Viking Ship Museum and East Slovak Museum. These are co-typed as Museum and Structure.

These include historical sites such as location of castle ruins, shipwreck sites, alleged UFO landing sites, alleged mythological sites, battle sites, etc.

Notable events ( can be social, historical, cultural, scientific, environmental, artistic, etc. ) that generate tourist visits. Examples are specific royal weddings, travel events, art exhibits, etc.

Notable Sports Events such as Monaco Grand Prix, Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup. These are co-typed as Recurring Event.

Administrative areas wherein the tourist attraction is located such as towns, cities, regions or countries. Examples are Siem Reap where Angkor Wat is located, London where Big Ben can be found and Orlando where Walt Disney World is located. These should be typed as travel destination.

Business establishments that promote the tourist attraction and provide services within the vicinity of the tourist attraction such as real estate companies, marketing and advertising agencies, online directory companies, event organizers, tour and travel companies, shops, restaurants, transportation services, accommodation and lodging facilities, activity camps, etc.

Subjects or inspirations of the tourist attraction such as soldiers who died in wars and battles inspiring many war memorials and other artworks all over the world.

Venues using the tourist attraction as a theme for their parties or events.

Individual components of the tourist attraction such as one animal in a zoo, the individual shops in Chinatown, paintings or valuable objects in a museum. These can be highlights but not considered as tourist attraction.
