Software

  • NI FRC 2014 Software includes the LabVIEW 2013 Professional Development System, FRC tools, the driver station support software, and NI Vision Development Module 2013. All components require you to download software updates after kickoff. Visit the ni.com/frc for more information about the software updates after kickoff. (The 2013 FRC software came on CDs, but it looks like for 2014 they are providing the same software via download.)
  • Software for Java development including Git, Eclipse, JDK, and Ant.
  • We share important files (invoices, MSDS, etc.) via Dropbox. See our Dropbox page for more information.

Robotics Theory and Models

  • "Introduction to Robotics", Stanford Engineering Everywhere (SEE), Stanford University School of Engineering, 2008. Great videos that provide an introduction to the kinds of engineering required for humanoid robots, which are far more complicated than FRC robots but which still have the same fundamentals. This is an especially good intro for thinking about what's required in controlling even just a simple arm.
