Creating a BTP Global Account
Summary
SAP Joule for Consultants is a cloud (SaaS) application built on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). After completing the commercial agreements, an entitlement for SAP Joule for Consultants is added to your BTP global account. This allows you to set up and use the service.
This page explains how to create and set up a BTP global account, which is required to access and use the SAP Joule for Consultants AI service.
A global account in SAP BTP is the main account that represents the agreement between you (the customer or partner) and SAP. It is used to manage subaccounts, users, entitlements, and quotas.
[!NOTE] If you already have a BTP global account, you can go ahead and set up SAP Joule for Consultants in the assigned subaccount.
If you do not have a global account yet, please follow the steps below to create one before setting up the service.
Prerequisites
Access to SAP BTP Cockpit.
[!IMPORTANT] Remember, only the IT Contact initially has access and is responsible for adding other administrators and managing user roles.
Steps
- Your company’s IT Contact will receive a welcome email from SAP ([email protected]).
- Look for a second email that includes your login details and an S-user ID.
- Use the link in the email or go to the SAP BTP Cockpit Home directly: https://account.hana.ondemand.com/#/home/welcome.
- Log in with the global account administrator credentials provided in your email.
Result
Once logged in, you will see your global account(s) in the SAP BTP Cockpit.
[!NOTE]
After creating your global account, you should:
- Add at least one more global account administrator for support and backup.
- Optionally, rename your global account to something easier to recognize.
- Review your account entitlements to see the resources and services available.
This process gives you a secure way to start managing subaccounts, users, and services on SAP BTP.
