The WSJTX window displays activity received from WSJT-X.
The window lists stations calling CQ and tracks their later messages in the Activity column.
Interaction with WSJT-X
The operator can double-click the station and QLog will tune the station with WSJTX interface (this requires enabling WSJTX setting File → Settings → Reporting → Accept UDP Requests ).
The receiving of ADIF formatted log messages is also supported. For some applications, this type of logging needs to be turned on explicitly in the applications (JTDX etc.)
Multiple WSJT-X Instances
QLog can receive data from several WSJT-X instances at the same time. Each instance must use a different instance ID and send UDP messages to QLog's configured port.
- Spots from each instance are kept separate, even when several instances receive the same callsign. Frequency shows the instance's dial frequency; hover over it to see the instance ID.
- Double-clicking a station sends the reply to the instance that received it.
- New QSO follows the instance where you select a DX station. If a rig is connected, frequency and mode still come from the rig.
- Changing band or mode clears only that instance's spots. Logging a QSO keeps spots for the same callsign on other bands.
Activity Column
Activity contains a small history graph.
- Each position represents a recent receive period, with the newest on the right.
- Bars have three heights based on SNR: taller bars mean a stronger signal. A short line means no message from that station was decoded in that period.
- Hover over the graph to see decode times in UTC and SNR values in dB.
- Each WSJT-X instance uses its own timing, so different modes can be shown together.
Column Customization
Each column can be reordered by dragging it to your preferred position. This layout is automatically saved for future sessions. Columns can be sorted according to your preference. By default, stations with the most recent activity appear first.
Color meaning is the same as it is described in Main Window.
POTA Integration
Based on information from pota.app, QLog can add details about POTA. If a spot is not reported as a POTA spot via WSJTX but is listed as POTA spot on pota.app, QLog will add POTA information to the received Message field and mark it with [+]. The POTA information is added only in case of CQ-message.
WSJTX Color CQ Spot
When enabled in QLog Setting (File → Settings → Network → Color CQ Spot), QLog sends color-coded status indicators back to WSJT-X for each callsign calling CQ, providing visual feedback about each station's status (e.g., new DXCC, needed band, worked before).
