Rotator - foldynl/QLog GitHub Wiki
The Rotator Widget is a very simple Rotator Controller.
The map includes three colored needles to assist with orientation. The fuchsia needle indicates the azimuth to the DX station. The orange needle shows the current heading of your antenna. Finally, the white needle represents a user-requested azimuth, which can be used for manual adjustments. The needles retain a consistent line width when the map is zoomed.
The operator can define own direction via 4 user-defined buttons. The button directions are defined in Settings→ Equipment→Rotator. The fifth button contains the direction to the current QSO.
Azimuth can be entered not only numerically via the input line, but also by clicking on the map itself. Drag the map to move it without issuing a rotator command and use the mouse wheel to zoom. The zoom level and map position are remembered between sessions. Changing the station profile recenters the map on the station while preserving the selected zoom level.
To stop an ongoing rotation, select Goto again. The azimuth field follows the reported rotator position, so the repeated command requests the current heading.
QLog recalculates azimuth based on the current antenna azimuth offset. This Antenna azimuth offset can be specified individually for each antenna in its profile (via Settings→ Antennas)
A rotator can be assigned to an antenna under Settings → Antennas. When configured this way, the assigned rotator is automatically selected and connected whenever that antenna is used.
