Launching but not working - fishyboteso/fishyboteso GitHub Wiki

  1. Try running the bot as admin.
  • Either right click the Shortcut and select "Run as administrator"
  • Or right click the windows logo in your task bar and select Windows PowerShell (Admin) and execute python -m fishy

  1. Sometimes, when looking directly at a fishing hole, the fishy engine won't start fishing and print an error. Instead look somewhere else before starting fishy engine.

  1. If you change your action and loot keys in ESO, you will have to change them in fishy, too.
    keybinds

  1. If you see this message FishyQR not found, try to drag it around and try again.
  • If you don't see FishyQR addon installed, fishy wasn't able to install it for some reason, you could manually install these addons which are required for fishy to run FishyQR LibAddonMenu LibGPS

  • If you are able to see FishyQR but still getting the error, try these solutions

    • move the FishyQR addon around (by dragging it) and trying to run Fishy again, keep doing this until it detects it. When it does, leave it there. If it doesn't detect the addon anywhere, try increasing its size from ingame addon menu.
    • change Screenshot Lib from Debug > Screenshot Lib to a different one (some screenshot lib doesn't work for some users)

  1. If you have alot of other windows open, try closing everything except for fishy and the game and try again. Fishy looks for the window with the name "Elder Scrolls Online" in it, if you have any other window with this name it could conflict with the game.

  1. If you have a multi-monitor setup, try 5th point first, if that didn't help then try moving the game window to the primary monitor and then try again. Fishy should be able to find the game in either of the monitors, but sometimes it doesn't work, not sure why.

  1. If you playing the game in fullscreen, try it in windowed mode. Again, it should but sometimes it doesn't for some reason.
