Master File

• A master file is the original full-resolution/full-quality version of a file, stored on the Supplementary tab of a Multimedia record.

Derivative Versions

• Derivative versions of a master file that have only been resized or compressed without changing aspect ratio or content otherwise can be stored within the same Multimedia record and treated as “Resolutions” or preview Multimedia.

• Derivative versions of a master file that have been further edited (e.g., cropped, recolored, remixed, etc) are separate Multimedia records, and can be associated with the Multimedia record/s from which they are derived.
