Eye Zoom Customization - fe-art/Toolscreen GitHub Wiki

Width and Height

To customize the eye zoom overlay, go to Advanced > Modes > Eye Zoom. All settings below are found in this section.

The Width and Height should be left on their defaults (384 x 16384). These control the overall zoom area dimensions.

Clone Width and Height

  • Clone Width controls how many game pixels are copied to the magnifier. The default of 30 is good for most setups.
  • Clone Height is set to 1300 by default, which works well.

Number of Overlay Values

To change how many numbers show up on each side of the center line, expand the Default Overlay section and change the number.

Text and Font Settings

Scroll down to Text Settings to customize the font:

  • Per-Square Auto Font Size - Each square's text scales independently to fill its space.
  • Manual Font Size - Set a specific font size with a slider.
  • Link Rectangle Font Size - When enabled, the font size and box size are linked. Untick this to control them separately with two independent sliders.

To use a custom font, click Browse and select a .ttf file.

Customizing Colors

All colors on the eye zoom overlay can be customized in the colors section. Each color has four channels — the fourth column is the alpha (opacity).

Example: If you lower the opacity of the pink overlay, you can see the eye beneath it.

Repositioning the Magnifier

To move the magnifier to a different position:

  1. Tick Use Custom Position.
  2. Adjust the Width, Height, X, and Y values.
  3. You can move the magnifier to the other side of the screen or anywhere else.

Using a Custom Overlay Image

For full visual customization, you can use a custom overlay image:

  1. Click Add Overlay in the eye zoom settings.
  2. Switch to the new overlay.
  3. Expand it and click Browse to select an image file.

Aligning a Custom Overlay Image

After loading a custom overlay image, it may not be aligned with the actual pixel grid. To fix this:

  1. Compare it to the Default Overlay to see how many numbers should appear between the center line and the edge.
  2. Switch to the custom overlay and set Display Mode to Manual.
  3. Adjust the Width and Height until the grid lines up correctly with the default overlay's alignment.
  4. Tick Clip to Zoom Area to cut off any parts that extend beyond the zoom bounds.
  5. Do a few eye measurements with different values to verify accuracy.
  6. If the overlay is off by a pixel, fine-tune the width/height until it's exact.
  7. Once the width is correct, adjust the Height so the numbers look good.
