Regarding Banner Sizes

Below are banner sizes that are available with SDK ver2.2.0

Size Device
320 × 50 iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad Traditional banner size
320 × 100 iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
300 × 100 iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
300 × 250 iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
728 × 90 iPad only For tablets only

When you create an ad space in the management screen of nend, you can set the size of the ads. There will be only one size for one ad space.

Assign the size of advertisement view

When you create the advertisement view, please choose the size you have chosen for the ad space on the management screen.
If the size is different, the size on the management screen will prevail.

If you choose a size larger than the display size of the device

If the ad size is larger than the display size of the device, the ads will not be displayed. An error message will be sent.

When the ad size is too big like the picture above, the ad will not be displayed.

Regarding Auto Scaling

Starting from SDK ver 2.6.0, banner sizes will be scaled automatically depending on the width of every smartphone device.

The following ad sizes are supported:

  • 320 × 50
  • 320 × 100
  • 300 × 100
  • 300 × 250

Ex. Auto Scale ON- iPhone 6 Plus image

Regarding restrictions with Auto Scale

Regarding magnification

Based on the shorter size of the device, it will be calculated in the width ratio of 320 (up to 1.5).

  • When the ad is shown in landscape mode When the device is in landscape mode, the ad space will be enlarged based on portrait mode.

Ex. 320x50 ad displayed in portrait mode- iPhone 6 Plus image

Ex. 320x50 ad displayed in landscape mode- iPhone 6 Plus image

Regarding 300x100 and 300x250 ad sizes

If the ad size is an enlarged using auto adjustment, it will be enlarged to maintain the left and right margins.

Ex. 300x250 Auto Scale OFF- iPhone 6 Plus image

Ex. 300x250 Auto Scale ON- iPhone 6 Plus image

Regarding Auto Scale with tablets

If you display an ad on a tablet that is auto adjusted, the ad will enlarge up to 1.5 times the original size.

Ex. 320x50 Auto Scale ON- iPad image

Regarding 728x90 ad sizes

728x90 ad sizes will not be scaled even if auto adjustment is on.
