To get started with using RSK Enterprise, you will need to create your Location

What is a Location

A location is a set or series of infrastructure service that are independently self-managed by the RSKEC platform. It can be interpreted as a collection or infrastructure run by the RSKEC platform.

Creating locations on RSKEC gives you access to manage different service. Different environments may be set up in Azure according to your requirement and they can be deployed in the different Azure regions in accordance with the (Regulatory compliance and residence of the data, Availability of services and Prices).

Many services can be managed via locations. The following services cover:

  1. AKS Cluster (Azure Kubernetes Service)

  2. Ports/ Gateways for API

  3. Surveillance and Monitoring

  4. Alarm Warning and alert

  5. Storage store

Creating Location

  1. To create a new location, click on Create on the sidebar and fill in the required details.

  2. Fill in the required fields accordingly by hovering over each tooltip to know what each field should contain. : Name, Provider, Region, Subscription, Resource Group, VM Size, Amount, Tenant ID, Client ID, Secret, Client ID AKS, Client AKS Secret

  3. To get the information to fill in: Tenant ID, Client ID, Secret, Client ID AKS, Client AKS Secret check out the Configuring your account section.

  4. Once the required information has been filled click on the create button. Your location is now created!

Viewing your information on the dashboard

On the dashboard, you can view all the locations created.

With the + sign you can easily create a location from the dashboard.

Clicking on each location shows the different information that each location has: General Info, Virtual Machine Size, Development info and Workspaces

Note: Your workspace info will be filled once your workspace is created.
