Connect to a Blockchain Network

Which Blockchain networks can be access through shared nodes using RSKEC?

Currently, we have shared nodes of RSK, Lacchain and Ethereum networks. You can connect your Dapp to any of these and send transactions right away. We are constantly working on incorporating more shared nodes and there will be more networks available soon.

Can I deploy a permissioned network using RSKEC?

Yes. At the moment, RSKEC allows you to deploy a permissioned Besu network.

Do I need to purchase cryptocurrency to connect to networks?

You do not need to purchase any cryptocurrency to run environments and connect to networks in RSKEC. However, if you want to send transactions to a share node hosted in RSKEC, you might need to have a wallet funded with gas for the network you wish to use.

Does RSKEC support the deployment of a node in a public network?

At the moment, RSKEC only allows to connect to shared nodes of the supported public networks. However, it is in our roadmap and soon RSKEC will support the automatic deployment of nodes of public networks.

How do I connect to a shared node?

See in our connecting to network/nodes section.

Identity Wallet

The Identity Wallet is currently under development and it is not available yet for users to use. However, it will available through RSKEC Marketplace soon.

When will the Identity Wallet be available?

The Identity Wallet is currently being developed, and its first features will be available by mid-July. The scheduled date for the full V1 of the Identity Wallet is by the end of August.

Which features will the Identity Wallet have?

The Identity Wallet will have three main features:

  1. Sign content and send it to a Blockchain network
  2. DID Management
  3. Creation, storage, validation and send of Verifiable Credentials

Soon we will be releasing technical documents with details on all three of the Identity Wallet main features

How can I use the Identity Wallet?

Once it is released, the Identity Wallet will be able to use through RSKEC Marketplace and on its stand-alone version.

Can I integrate the Identity Wallet to a Dapp developed by my company?

Yes. The Identity Wallet is being developed with the integration to Dapps in mind. Once integrated, users shouldn't even notice through the UX that the Identity Wallet is component outside of the Dapp.
