Type: Gambit Modifier (Proactive)
Circumstance: You attempt a gambit to see, hear, or smell something in a nearby location
Effort Cost: 1
Effect: If the Gambit succeeds, you obtain information from all of your senses as though you were up close
Type: Gambit Modifier (Reactive)
Circumstance: You or an ally fumbles a Gambit opposed by an NPC or in a location the party has interacted with in a previous episode
Uses/Cooldown: 1/Episode
Effect: You recall something you noticed on a previous occasion that suggests a different approach. You or your ally may treat the first attempt as if it never happened, and reattempt the Gambit with a different Approach, at +1 Boon.
Type: Passive
Effect: Whenever you are outdoors and you make a Reconnassaince Gambit to observe something in the distance, choose one of the following:
- The Opposition is treated as if you were half the distance away
- It becomes Powerful
Type: Passive
Effect: Your Gambits made to notice clues about past activities in a location (such as finding footprints, smudges or other marks, or evidence of something out of place) are at +1 Boon
Type: Downtime Activity
Success: You learn a piece of useful information about your current or next Arc objective. Choose one of the following:
- You overhear something about a specific NPC. The party gains one of +1 Boon, Controlled or Powerful on Influence Gambits involving them (based on the nature of the information)
- You discover a hidden route or entrance to a specified location. Fill in one segment on a Progress Clock involving reaching that location (representing a more efficient path), or add one to an associated Threat Clock (representing a safer one).
- You gain advance knowledge of an obstacle or hazard. When you or an ally attempts any Gambit to overcome it, it loses the Risky property if it had it; otherwise, it becomes Controlled.
Type: Downtime Activity
Success: The GM reveals a piece of information about the current Arc objective that the party could have learned previously using Reconnaissance but didn't (either because of a fumbled Gambit or because they didn't seek it out)
