Academic excellence fund
Value: up to $2000
Deadlines: Oct 30, Feb 28, June 30.
Can be used for: conference support, research activities and material, fieldwork costs, etc. Want you to apply after the costs are incurred but can apply before if you have accurate dollar amounts.
Eligible: seems like once a degree?
PI's role: After the student submits an application, their supervisor will be notified and asked to complete the supervisor form, within 10 days of the student deadline.\

Research cost fund
Value: up to $1600
Deadlines: Nov 10, March 10
Can be used for: Student travel and/or accommodation necessary for research; Materials, supplies, photocopying and other services essential to the research.
No conferences.
Eligible: once a degree
PI's role: complete the RCF supervisor form they email.\

YUGSA Academic funds (Thesis support and Conference support)
Value: up to $300 a year between both funds
Deadlines: August 1st, December 1st, April 1st
Can be used for: conferences (conference support fund) or research costs (thesis support fund)
Apply after the conference is over
Eligible: once a year
PI's role: none that I can tell.
