Marketplace is a free platform where any ERPNext user (later anyone) can list their products and be discovered by thousands of other companies using ERPNext and Marketplace. Marketplace enables companies to grow their business.
The marketplace itself will be hosted independently by the ERPNext Foundation, a registered not-for-profit.
Anyone can browse and explore the marketplace without having an account.
Registration
To publish items you need to register. To register on the marketplace you need to be an ERPNext user. This is pretty straightforward.
After registration, you can see more options on the sidebar like Publish Items, Your Profile, etc.
Publish Items
On the Publish Page, you will see a list of your Items which you can publish. If you do not see some items, then you must update it's Image and Description from the Item Master.
Click on the item which you want to publish, then select a category which best describes your item and the image.
Your item will now be added to the queue of items to publish, after you've added some items, you can go ahead and click the Publish button. The selected items will then be synced to the main Marketplace Server and will be visible to everyone on the Marketplace.
Item Page
The Item page is where you can see more details like the Item Seller and Item Description. You can also save the item for later and view them on the Saved Items page. You can view and add reviews for the item. This page also allows you to contact the seller for more details.
Search Items by keyword
There is a search bar in the home page which can be used to search items by any keyword.
Seller Page
The Seller Page details more information about the seller. It also contains the list of items published by the seller.
Chat with Sellers
To chat with the seller of any item, go to the Item page and click on Contact Seller. You will be presented with a dialog which will start the conversation.
The chat page is where you can continue the conversation and finalize deals.
Manage your customer queries
Users who have contacted you for an Item you have published will be managed in the Selling page. The inquiries are grouped by Item, so you know what is the context.
Clicking on the user, you will then go to the chat page where you can answer their queries.
