RISE for Youth is a nonpartisan organization committed to ensuring every space that impacts a young person’s life encourages growth and success. RISE promotes the creation of healthy communities and community-based alternatives to youth incarceration. RISE for Youth is pleased today to host Howard University students during their Alternative Spring Break for a day of advocacy here in our General Assembly!

These Howard students are committed to youth empowerment and restorative justice. They have spent this week serving middle and high schools by mentoring and inspiring youth, helping local church programs, serving community organizations, learning and participating in restorative justice programs, and even visiting the Richmond police department.

The impact these young advocates and change makers will have on Virginia communities will be measured in the successes achieved by those who have benefited from their time and support. RISE for Youth is honored to host these Howard University students. Our youth are the future and the future is now!
